"The best strike force in the Premiership." Do you agree?

jasmine17 SG

This is what Rafael Benitez says of his four excellent and young strikers. Namely Milan Baros, Michael Owen, Sinama Pongolle and new boy Cisse.

Do you agree with him? Why?

jasmine17 SG

I personally agree with what he says. After all this is liverpool Embarassed

jasmine17 SG

Mr. Green

I-like-flings(m) SG

who??? never heard b4..

I personally disagree with what he says. After all this is liverpool ..... Mr. Green

jasmine17 SG

he is the new boss at Liverpool Twisted Evil

frOst^~^nOva SG

yeah! liverpool has enuff firepower upfront. what we need now is a solid defender. Wink

Båseline SG

Baros, top scorer in Euro 2004.

Owen, regular goal scorer in EPL and despite injuries and half decent assists... managed to score 19 goals in last Season.

Cisse, regular goal scorer in the French Ligue 1. His pace and technique will be something to look out for.

Ponglle, injured after a relative promising start but has age on his side. Nimble and good on the turn.. pacy as well.

Besides a defender, LFC needs another quality right winger to supply the crosses from the right. Kewll would probably stays on the left THIS TIME around. Mr. Green

the Bear SG

i disagree.. that is, until he can get someone to bring the ball to these strikers!

LFC doesn't have a good playmaker...

LFC doesn't have a playmaker..

frOst^~^nOva SG

what abt steven gerrard? he can be a playmaker Laughing

Elephunk SG

On paper,perharps the best.

But that's not gd enough. We'll see if they live up to that reputation

the Bear SG

he's tough, runs a lot, wins the ball... but he's no artist..

frOst^~^nOva SG

we need aimar then Very Happy

Båseline SG

Concur to that! Stevvie play his best when he's bossing the last third to the middle where he could make surging runs from the defence, sprays passes and win tackles.

LFC does in need of a playmaker that dictates play and unlock defences around the front third of the pitch.

Båseline SG

Mr. Green Concur to that too!

He's pacy, idea sibey juay and tuff too.

Elephunk SG

tough?I don't think so.

frOst^~^nOva SG

he doesn't need to be tuff, just split defence can already. Mr. Green

Elephunk SG

Being tough is essential in the EPL.But Im sure Aimar can work hard on that if he ever gets to Anfield.Though,At the moment, its unlikely because of the ongoing feud between Benitez and Valencia.

Båseline SG

You'll know if you caught him plying his trade at Valencia. He may be small but this Argentinian is no pushover.

Elephunk SG

He is not tough enough yet at least for the EPL.

Båseline SG

Any which way, Aimar is nothing but pure speculation. Ah Ben has oni ten or so days with the lads… there’s still some time to access the rest of the squad properly and decides whom to bring in.
